Color range for my Japanese army!

In this post, I will go through the color palette I am using to paint my army. I realize that some colors would be not 100% historically accurate, but I weight more the final look of the miniatures than the historical accuracy, and also try to keep the painting economical by using the same color on several elements.
  • Color range:
    • Battlefront Quartermasters Paint set:
      •  Army Green
      • Battlefield Brown
      • Black
      • Dark Gunmetal
      • Dry Dust
      • European Skin
      • Military Khaki
      • Skin Shade
      • Wool Brown
      • Worn Canvas

        Quartermaster set

    • Vallejo acrylic colors:
      • Buff
      • Copper
      • Dark Vermillion
      • Flat Brown
      • Foundation White
      • Japan Uniform WWII (probably the most important one!)
      • Lemon Yellow
      • Oily Steel
    • Vallejo game color:
      • Hammered Copper

        Vallejo paints.

    • Primer:
      • Citadel Chaos Black Spry can.
  • Additions for painting armour:

    • Citadel Waagh! Flesh (Dark green).
    • Flames of War, war paint German Armour spry can.
    • Vallejo game color Wash: Umber Wash.

      Sprays and Citadel color.

Last but not least, I fix the miniatures to the top of a paper glue stick with blu-tack, helping to hold them while painting.

Nikuhaku soldier fixed to the glue stick.

In the next posts I will detail step by step how I painted my infantry.
Stay tuned!
Banzai!
